Brown County Fine Art, Inc is based in southern Indiana in the historic impressionist art colony of Nashville and offers a range of art related services including consignment sales of early colony artists, appraisals, video production, and artist representation. Brown County Fine Art not only handles the work of the early artists but that of present day Hoosier Masters as well. Brown County Fine Art founder and president, Lyn Letsinger-Miller, wrote the book, The Artists of Brown County , which was published in 1994 by Indiana University Press. This critically acclaimed book is considered the standard on the Brown County Art Colony, which was established just after the turn of the 19th century. During its heyday, the Brown County Art Colony was considered the most important regional art colony in the United States. The book, which is now in its third printing, details the history of the important artists of the period and features beautiful full color reproductions of their work. The Indiana University press is going to do a third printing of Lyn's book. It will be featured in the fall catalogue along with a DVD version of the video.
